Recent Publications

Clinical research studies involving patients with obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic problems are constantly being performed at UAMS and its affiliated hospitals. Much of this research is conducted under the auspices of a General Clinical Research Center (GCRC), which is located at the John L. McClellan VA medical center. At any one time, different research studies are recruiting patients with different needs. Below are listed some research studies that are either in progress, currently recruiting patients, or recently completed.

Currently recruiting research patients:
Adipose tissue and muscle gene expression in obesity and insulin resistance, funded by the Veterans Administration and the National Institutes for Health.
